Experienced in working at prestigious government and private institutions, including Maulana Azad Medical Dr. Priyanka Saxena is a distinguished medical professional and researcher with a strong focus on pediatric pathology and hepatology. She has worked as an Assistant Professor at renowned institutions such as ILBS and CMC Vellore, where she has made significant contributions to the field. Her current work involves setting up and maintaining NABL-compliant labs, ensuring rapid turnaround times (TATs) and critical value reporting, and managing a wide range of diagnostic tests, including hematology, FNAC, PAP smears, clinical pathology, biochemistry, and immunoassays. Dr. Saxena is also responsible for managing IQC, EQAS, and NABH/NABL audit preparations and has successfully completed NABH audits for multiple hospitals. With a special interest in hematological abnormalities in liver diseases, particularly liver coagulopathies, Dr. Saxena has made remarkable strides in this area. She has presented her research at both national and international conferences and has received prestigious awards, including the DST Young Scientist Grant (₹25 Lakhs) and multiple “Reach the World” grants from ISTH. Her research contributions include co-authoring significant papers on coagulation failures in ACLF, the effects of exogenous growth factors in alcoholic cirrhosis, and rare hematological and oncological cases, all published in renowned journals such as Liver International and Clinics and Research in Hepatology and Gastroenterology. Dr. Saxena’s extensive research has enhanced the understanding of liver diseases and coagulopathies, making her a leading expert in her field.
